Mi origen religioso fue católico romano. Mis padres, especialmente mi madre me inculcó la doctrina de la religión desde que era niño. Hacia el año 1998 di el paso hacia el Evangelio. Empecé este nuevo caminar en Cristo en Bogotá, Colombia. Donde fui discipulado en Cristo y en la Biblia. En el año 2000 vine a los Estados Unidos y desde entonces vivo en la ciudad de Hackensack, NJ. Fui bautizado en agua por inmersión en la iglesia “El Calvario de Hackensack”. Mi caminar en el cristianismo ha sido impactado por hombres y mujeres de fe que me han enseñado la Biblia. Debido a los talentos y dones que el Señor me ha dado, pude iniciarme como maestro de escuela dominical, como predicador y sirviendo de manera voluntaria en la dirección y coordinación de misiones, educación y discipulado en varias congregaciones de la zona.
Desde que llegué a los Estados Unidos siempre tuve la inquietud de estudiar la Palabra de Dios. Leía mucho por mi cuenta y un día descubrí que podía tomar cursos en línea en una institución llamada Facultad Latinoamericana de Estudios Teológicos (FLET, por sus siglas en español). Hasta que en el 2016 me contactó Indiana Wesleyan University, y me ofrecieron hacer la licenciatura que pude terminar gracias a la consecución de una beca, y para el 2020 ya me había graduado de Bachelor of Arts, en Estudios Teológicos con especialización en “Consejería Pastoral”. Ese mismo año 2020 inicié la Maestría en Divinidades, con una beca del Seminario Wesley. Actualmente estoy terminando mi tercer año y recientemente fui designado por la junta directiva del Seminario Wesley, como embajador (representante estudiantil) de mi clase (cohorte 2020).
Ahora la oportunidad de servir al Señor se ha presentado a través de un proyecto de plantación de un Ministerio Hispano en la “iglesia Reformada de la Avenida Clinton” en Bergenfield, New Jersey. Aunque es un gran desafío, siento que es un llamado de Dios para trabajar y servir en la extensión de Su Reino y de Su reinado aquí en la tierra.

My religious background was Roman Catholic. My parents, especially my mother, instilled in me the doctrine of religion since I was a child. Around the year 1998 I took the step towards the Gospel. I started this new walk in Christ in Bogotá, Colombia, where I was discipled in Christ and in the Bible. In the year 2000 I came to the United States and since then I have lived in the city of Hackensack, NJ. I was baptized in water by immersion in the church “El Calvario de Hackensack”. My walk in Christianity has been impacted by men and women of faith who have taught me the Bible. Due to the talents and gifts that the Lord has given me, I was able to start as a Sunday school teacher, as a preacher and serving voluntarily in the direction and coordination of missions, education, and discipleship in various congregations in the area.
Since I arrived in the United States, I always had the concern to study the Word of God. I read a lot on my own and one day I discovered that I could take online courses at an institution called the Latin American Faculty of Theological Studies (FLET, for its acronym in Spanish). Until Indiana Wesleyan University contacted me in 2016, and they offered me to do a bachelor’s degree that I was able to finish thanks obtaining a scholarship, and by 2020 I had already graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, in Theological Studies with a specialization in “Pastoral Counseling.”. That same year, 2020, I started the Master of Divinity, with a scholarship from the Wesley Seminary. I am currently finishing my third year and was recently appointed by the Wesley Seminary board of trustees, as an ambassador (student representative) for my class (2020 cohort).
Now the opportunity to serve the Lord has presented itself through a Hispanic Ministry planting project at “Clinton Avenue Reformed Church” in Bergenfield, New Jersey. Although it is a great challenge, I feel that it is a call from God to work and serve in the extension of His Kingdom and His reign here on earth.
